Ladies and gentlemen, we have a tooth. After two nights of waking every 2-3 hours our little tyke's first tooth broke through and offered a glimmer of hope to the whole Blum family that perhaps sleep would once more return to our home. I'm pretty sure we're still waiting for bottom middle tooth number 2 to break through the surface, but for now the boy seems to have gotten some relief and is resting quietly.
Of course, in the midst of this tooth breaking the surface, little scooter attended his 5th and last wedding of the year last night and was partying in his car seat for most of the ride home even though it was WELL past his bedtime. It's okay, we'll let it slide, because he looked FREAKING ADORABLE and charmed the pants off of people everywhere. It was a real pantsless occasion (for the ladies. HAHAHA. I'm hilarious! And very sleep deprived!) But seriously, Z was a GEM. The child did not cry even a tidge until right before we were leaving when his boundaries were broken and he let loose for about 5 minutes. Poor guy. He was a real trooper and we're very proud and thankful that he's such an amenable little guy. It doesn't hurt that he's got glorious chubby cheeks.
Anyhow, to return from the tangent, he was a little out of sorts today and very tired. He ate dinner with the most serious look on his face because he was so wiped out. Kid actually smiled when I put him in his crib like, "Thank you for the sweet relief of this dark, quiet place Mama."
