Highlights from June:
- I learned that when Joe and I aren't together we both watch a lot of ridiculous reality TV. This is what we come to when separated. Our poison of choice:
Joe- My First Home (spoiler- it always works out)
Sara - Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta (the "inspirational" message at the end kills me)
- Z is a parrot. Legit. He has said whole phrases (today was, "You're a good boy") but shows no sign of uses words with any regularity. He just likes repeating the sounds.
- Flying with a 1 year old as a lap baby is basically the same as octopus wrangling
My First Impressions of River Falls:
- Adorable. I feel like give me a year and I'll be getting waves from people on the street.
- On that same note I feel like every person who sees me knows I'm not from around here.
- I'm in love with Main St. The food co-op obsesses me with its vast array of bulk purchasing. I can't wait to scoop me some almond butter! The Fox Den bookstore seems like it might become my second home and place of all things good. I have taken Z to storytime there, which is delightful, and signed up for their adult art class in July to try to make some friends. (BYO tea or wine, she provides the boiling water and/or corkscrew- splendid!)
- The library seems wonderful.
- It's really pretty. Lots of parks nearby and the river running right through the town is nice.
