2 Months!

As my friend said yesterday, "you're halfway to him being a real person!" So true.

The stats
22.5 inches
10 lbs 15 oz
Well vaccinated.

The Good

Bear smiles ALL THE TIME! Super smiley when he sees us or we do "high fives" or tickle his chin. He loves watching Z careen around and going outside. He is a really happy little guy when he is awake until it's time to be fed or walked to sleep. Walking or nursing are his preferred methods of falling asleep these days and he's starting to feel that he should be held for all naps. However, the vast majority of his night sleeps are great! He usually does a 5-5.5 hour stretch, eats, sleeps another 4, eats, and sleeps another 3. If I didn't have a toddler who tends to wake at 6 I might be feeling reasonably rested.

The Bad

Bear appears to have a cow protein sensitivity so I'm having to cut dairy out of my diet. It's been just over a week and it seems to be doing the trick so I'm hoping that is all I have to cut from my diet. I'm sad though, because I love dairy. This breastfeeding experience has thus far not been the magical unicorn ride I was promised in my breastfeeding class.

The Awesome

Even though poor Bear has apparently been having gut issues, he's not shown it at all except via the contents of his diapers. He's a very jolly and overall easy baby. Not very fussy in spite of the fact that he can bring the roof down when he really decides to scream. I'm very thankful this month for his steady growth and calm demeanor.
