The baby's due date is somewhere between May 4 and May 16. I hope that narrows it down for you.
He does not get hiccups nearly as often as his brother, nor does he really share any of his brother's in utero tendencies. This really tickles me since I didn't really think that unborn babies could possibly be so different from each other already.
He is, however, a good baby and always accomplishes his kick counts on schedule and has perfect vitals. Just like his mama. So still, in spite of how sick I've been this entire pregnancy, I'm actually "healthy" as far as my pregnancy goes. Good weight gain, good blood pressure, etc. Even though I've been a bit crabby this pregnancy, I truly do understand how lucky I am. If I hadn't had a little boy and a bunch of college students delivering every virus and bacteria to my door, I think it really wouldn't have been so tiring. My string of cold viruses has become a running joke between my OB and I. I'm daring to hope that the advent of spring might save me for the rest of this pregnancy. You know, once I get over my current cold. Day 8! 2-4 more days to go?
So, back to the part where I have no due date. Seriously, I don't have one. Initially we thought it was May 16. Then the doctor said May 4. Then the ultrasound technician said May 12, which is what I'd been going with because that seemed to make the most sense to me. Then my doctor threw me for a loop when she said a couple days ago that I'm measuring at 32 weeks which puts me back at the beginning of May. So, I give up. Obviously, I am not meant to have a due date. That's the conclusion that I have reached.
Here is a basic sketch of my May. Classes go until May 8. My English 20 class will be turning in their final paper on May 4 and having their final exam on May 11. My English 200 class will be turning in their final paper on May 11. Final grades are due May 21. Somewhere in there, I will need to birth a baby. I'll have a sub for my class times should it come to that, but I don't think it's fair to my students to suddenly have a different professor grading their work at the end of the semester, so those papers will be allll mine. Mine and Bebo's. :)
No big deal. I've totes got this.
Send coffee.
